Hope Carving Jig

Keep your turned work piece secured in the chuck and then mount the chuck on the carving jig which allows carving and painting of the work piece on a jig that can be fully adjusted to suit.

Fits into the banjo/tool rest holder and is fully adjustable.

Allows the chuck to screw on and then hold your workpiece at a comfortable angle in front of you to carve and or paint.

A very nice feature is that the axis is indexed so when you loosen the handle to adjust the position of you work, it doesn't fall and damage your work piece.

First choose your spindle thread size from the options: M33, 1 1/4" x 8 tpi, 1"x 8 tpi, 3/4" x 16 tpi.

Secondly, choose your tool post/stem diameter to fit your banjo/tool rest holder from the options: 1", 16mm (5/8"), 19mm (3/4") or 30mm.

If you don't see the combination of spindle thread and tool post size that you need to fit your lathe then send us an email with your request.

A great useful addition

This product works well for me for holding my turning projects for painting and texturing and returning it to the lathe

Well worth the price!

It's a simple device, but does exactly what I want it to! It's machined well, with heavy duty plastic handles. I built a "clamping jig" for the side of my carving cart so I don't have to tie up my lathe while embellishing my bowls. That way, my wife or I can still turn while the other works on the jig.
