DIME TIP CARVING BARS & CHAIN. Mount a mini dime tip bar (less than ¾” diameter) to your saw & turn it into a detailing machine! Most chainsaw carvers use a quarter dollar sized tip most often. But for the smallest detail nothing beats a dime sized bar! Most chainsaws are factory supplied with a 3/8″ (.375) sprocket. However, dime bars require the use of ¼ pitch chain (our item 270165) with a matching sprocket. So to use a dime tip bar normally the sprocket will need to be changed to ¼ pitch. See our listings for ¼” spur sprockets to convert your saw to accept 1/4 pitch chain..
