What is a thin?

Thins are strips of solid wood that have been re-sawn from a thicker piece of lumber.

We produce our thins locally in our woodshop from kiln dried lumber. This allows us to select for desirable grain and ensure the material you receive is flat.

All four faces are dressed with a helical cutterhead, giving a smooth finish requiring minimal sanding.

Thins are ideal for all types of woodworking, providing an affordable way to introduce different types of wood without using a full piece of lumber.

The photo is a typical representation of the wood grain, your piece(s) will be hand selected at the time of order and will have its own unique grain.

Sizing:

Your width and thickness will match you selected dimension.

We guarantee the length to be within ¼”.
