    Shipping Policy

    During the Covid-19 pandemic shipping has become more complicated and may cause delays.

    Extra measures have been put in place at every stage to safeguard staff and customers.

    We are shipping as quickly as possible and we are implementing improvements to speed up the fulfillment process. Many of our suppliers are experiencing delays and some special order items may be back ordered with limited information on ETA’s. We are doing our best to work with our suppliers to get items delivered as fast as possible.

    If there is an issue with your order we will contact you within 1-5 business days to make special arrangements on your order.

    We appreciate your patience and understanding. 

    Free Shipping

    On our website, we offer free shipping on orders over $250 in value, excluding taxes.

    Free shipping is not included on machinery, items exceeding 150 lbs or oversized items.

    Manual/Phone/Non-Website orders do not have free shipping.

    After the package is shipped there may be brokerage fees, duties, taxes or other charges depending on your destination country and state. We have no control over these costs and we do not assume them. We do declare and ship all items properly. Please check with your border agency for possible additional border crossing fees.

    Regular Merchandise Shipping

    We strive to complete and ship your web order in 1-4 business days as long as the item is in stock.

    We keep our inventory as accurate as possible but due to various factors an item may be purchased that is sold out. If an item in your purchase happens to be out of stock we will contact you by phone or email and offer an alternative.

    Pre-orders

    Pre-orders are presold merchandise sold before the product arrives in the store. Pre-orders are shipped when the stock is received. Estimated times of arrival are general estimations and are subject to change. Delays can happen and can increase our original estimation of delivery. We change and update ETA’s regularly but time frames are not guaranteed and can change.

     Bf Resins

    Extra care is taken to ship BF Resins. We tape the lids, put the container in a plastic bag and double box it with at least 2” of packing material.

    (We use environmentally friendly cellulose packing peanuts)

    Leaks or damage is rare but can happen.

    Damaged/Leaking package:

    ***Do not refuse the package from the courier. ***

    If the package is damaged or leaking please take the package. We will process a claim on our end at Black Forest Wood Company.

    To process a BF Resin claim contact us at info@blackforestwood.com to let us know about the loss and please include the following:

    • The Web order number, your name and any other information you deem pertinent.
    • A picture of the box and plastic container that has leaked.
    • The weight of the damaged container with any product left in it.
    • Let us know if its resin or hardener.

    We will replace the lost amount of product.

    Machinery

    The machinery shipping cost needs to be determined for each shipment destination. Machinery is quoted separately and shipped as freight. Machinery can be shipped in Canada and the USA.

    Machinery claims are processed with the freight carrier.

    ****If machinery package is damaged you can refuse delivery****

    Please contact us when the damage is discovered. Pictures are often needed for a claim. Additional information may be required depending on the circumstances. The package may have to be inspected more than once depending on the requirements and requests of the freight carrier.

    Machinery claims are processed on a case-by-case basis; there is no one policy to fit every scenario. We will do our best to minimize the delays a damaged machine might cause.

    Tables

    We go through great lengths to ensure the shipping procedure goes smoothly. We address the requirements for trans border shipments.

    Every effort must be made on behalf of the receiver to accept delivery.

    Refusal of a delivery for any reasons may result in delays and possible fees.  

    If a table delivery is refused for non-damage reasons by the receiver

    Or

    If a table delivery is attempted and is returned as non-deliverable:

    The receiver assumes any additional costs, fees and penalties from any primary or third parties involved.

    A second delivery may not be available and will be at the discretion of Black Forest Wood Company.

    Subsequent delivery attempts may be the responsibility of the receiver including handling of any paperwork, working with brokers, providing proper regulated documentation, logistics with the shipping company, and any fees or extra costs that may occur.
