Buckeye - Pen Blanks

I heard about Black Forest from a few people. I make wooden rings as a hobby when I'm not hauling lumber. I started this about 8 months ago and was having a hard time finding specialty woods that didn't take forever to get shipped to me , wasn't breaking the bank and I like to support local business when possible. Anyways I ended up dropping in to see what they had in stock and what was available to me. I purchased around seven types of wood that day some hard and some soft. As well as some bees wax polish and some sand paper. Only thing I wasn't able to get was some Black African Wood as that was main reason for coming here. They did have it in stock but for what I needed it for it was to small, would make great pens but just too small for ring. I asked if anything in back or would they be able to cut me a slice out of the bigger piece they had but the young lady wasn't able to she said and nothing big enough in back room. Maybe next time they will have a larger piece I can purchase so I can make my daughters and son in-laws wedding bands. The store in general is amazing , helpful staff , decent prices, large inventory, and tons of knowledge. I will return to purchase again sooner then later as I am starting to run low in a few pieces.
