Arrived safely. Was very well packaged to prevent damage. It will take some time to get my impressions of the product as it takes months for the wood pieces dry

Description

A green wood stabilizer that displaces water in fresh cut wood and prevents shrinking during the drying process, which reduces cracking and checking. Pentacryl will not discolor the wood, will not oxidize, decompose, or migrate in the wood when exposed to different degrees of temperature and humidity.

Pentacryl is applied by soaking smaller pieces or brushing on larger pieces. Completely saturated wood is then dried slowly.

Popular with wood turners, carvers, hobbyists, furniture makers and others working with green wood.

Once completely dry, Pentacryl treated wood can be sanded, stained/dyed, glued, wood burned and will accept a finish. For additional information on using Pentacryl see the FAQ page. https://preservation-solutions.com/pages/wood-treatment-faqs
