Electric Guitar Workshop

I joined this class to build a guitar as a gift as I don’t play guitar, but I do tinker in my wood shop. The class was a big splurge for me as I traveled from Denver to attend. I was initially a little uneasy, but Jon helped me choose the style, wood and hardware to personalize it, and led a great class. It was especially fun as we used all of Black Forest’s state of the art equipment and tools. Their shop is nothing short of amazing! Jon explained everything we did and everything we used, and answered all of my questions. I learned a few new techniques to repair a couple of mistakes I made, which will transfer to my projects at home. Since I’d never set up and tuned a guitar, Jon patiently explained the process and my guitar sounds great. I couldn’t be more happy with the class and highly recommend it.

I've taken 5 or 6 of the Black Forest workshops now, all have been great learning experiences. Every instructor was excited about teaching and happy to share their knowledge with the students. The resin guitar workshop was no exception. Jon is a great instructor who walked us through the process to complete a wood resin Telecaster over two weekends. Although all the BF courses were fun learning experiences this one allowed us to bring home a substantial project in your own handmade guitar.
