The Epoxy Coffee Table Workshop was a challenging but highly rewarding experience. The process involves several stages, including wood selection and preparation, mixing and pouring epoxy resin, and finishing the final surface.

Dylan at Black Forest does an excellent job guiding you through each step. He is patient, knowledgeable, and shares plenty of practical tips and tricks, while also helping troubleshoot any issues along the way.

The equipment you use is state-of-the-art with features like a vacuum pressure system and a unique water-cooled table that allows the resin to cure slowly with minimal bubbles; along with a machine that planes and sands your project. This significantly reduces manual effort and improves the final finish.

Even with no prior experience using the various tools required throughout the sessions, I was able to quickly develop new skills over the two-days thanks to their hands-on instruction and assistance.

The sessions are long and require effort, but the creative aspect makes it all worthwhile. Choosing colors, watching the resin flow through the wood grain and knots, and seeing the final polished table come together is incredibly satisfying. Each piece is completely unique, and the result is something you can truly be proud of.

Highly recommend this workshop to anyone interested in creating a one-of-a-kind piece.

The poplar thins worked very well for sign making. Very nice grain provides a great look.

Crown tools are always excellent quality. Having them stocked locally by Black Forest is great advantage to having to purchase these types of items from overseas and dealing with shipping, customs and duties.
