BF COAT THIN 1:1

BF Coat Thin Resin cures to a clear high gloss finish which can be used to surface coat or cast projects up to 1/4" 6mm thick. Coat has built-in air release properties and is UV stable; it is self-levelling and won't shrink or warp over time.

Should I use Coat Thick or Coat Thin?

The mention of "thick" and "thin" refers to the viscosity of the products.

Coat Thin is lower in viscosity making it more ideal for coating larger surfaces where you need the product to easily spread. It is also an ideal choice for crack filling as it will easily flow into small voids.

Coat Thick is higher in viscosity allowing for more control of the product when coating a surface. When doing pigmented coatings, this prevents colours from bleeding together as easily.

Max. depth of pour: 1/4"
Pot Life: 10-15 minutes
Cure Time @ 20℃/69℉: 24 hours

Uses and Applications:

BF Coat Resin is ideal for coating, gap filling and thin casting. It is a great primer/sealer to eliminate bubbles forming prior to casting live edges or porous materials when using BF Deep Resin.

ASTM Certified non-hazardous and non-toxic. Mix ratio 1 to 1

Check Resin for Clarity before Mixing with Hardener.

The Resin component of your kit may turn milky or form crystals; this occurs much like honey crystallizes. This occurrence of milkiness or crystallization in no way affects the quality of the resin! When warmed up, it will return to a clear liquid.

Put the container of Resin in a warm bath, (smaller containers can be warmed in the microwave for 1-2 minutes).

Slightly milky in colour - warming to 20-25°C (68-77°F) will clear the resin.

If larger crystals have formed then warm in a water bath to 45-50°C (115-125°F). This will restore clarity. You may be required to change the water a few times to maintain the warmth, as it will take around 30-40 minutes.

Do NOT exceed 70°C (160°F)

Higher temps will soften the container. Once the resin is clear, let it cool down to room temperature before mixing with Hardener.

A good resin

My wife is the resin artist, I just order the product. My wife is thrilled with this product. The product mixes easily and has far less bubbles than a lot of resins on the market. I have just ordered more, so my wife can make nolds that I will use in my electronics hobby
