The Powermatic PM2244 22-inch Drum Sander is engineered to expand a woodworker’s capabilities while delivering consistent, controlled sanding results. Included infeed and outfeed tables provide 37-1/2 inches of workpiece support, improving stability when sanding long or wide stock. The feed logic system monitors load on the drum motor and automatically regulates conveyor speed, maintaining optimal feed rates without overload. Belt tracking is engineered to minimize manual adjustment, reducing setup time and maintenance. Accurate sanding is supported by external table parallelism adjustment, allowing fine tuning without repositioning the entire drum carriage. The drum carriage itself is built for rigidity and long-term alignment, ensuring consistent performance over time. For ease of operation, the PM2244 features an integrated LED control panel that displays power status, belt speed, and digital readout, along with an emergency stop for quick shutoff.
