Aurora ballpoint twist pen kit – finial twist design

The Aurora ballpoint twist pen kit features a finial-mounted twist mechanism, making it different from other Sierra-style pen kits. This design offers a smooth twist action and a sleek, modern look. A Parker-style ballpoint refill (black ink) is included. 

What tooling do I need to make this kit?

To make this kit, you will need (all sold separately):

• 27/64" drill bit

• Bushing set 104A (same as Maple Leaf ballpoint kits)

• 27/64" pen mill shaft

• Mandrel A/7 mm

What size blank do I need for this kit?

You will need a pen blank at least 3/4" square × 5" long to allow enough material for turning and trimming. Shown here with Stabilized buckeye burl ocean blue (blank not included - see "Related Products" tab for link). This is a woodworking turning project that requires turning, finishing, and assembly with woodworking equipment. You will not receive a finished pen.

What refill do I need for this kit?

This kit includes a Parker-style refill, which is easy to replace and widely available in different ink colours and types. Turn this kit into a pencil with the Parker-style Forever pencil refill. Just remove the pen refill, slip the spring onto the pencil refill, and insert the pencil refill into the pen kit.
