BF Coat Resin cures to a clear high gloss finish which can be used to surface coat or cast projects up to 1/4" 6mm thick. Coat has built-in air release properties and is UV stable; it is self-levelling and won't shrink or warp over time.

Coat Thick was previously known as "Art", and has a higher viscosity.

Check Resin for Clarity before Mixing with Hardener.

The Resin component of your kit may turn milky or form crystals. This occurs much like honey crystallizes, this occurrence of milkiness crystals in no way affects the quality of the resin/ when warmed up will return to a clear liquid and so will the resin.

Put the container of Resin in a warm bath, (smaller containers can be warmed in the microwave for 2-3 minutes).

Slightly milky in colour - warm to 20-25°C (68-77°F) will clear the resin.

If larger crystals have formed then warm in a water bath to 45-50°C (115-125°F). This will restore clarity, you may be required to charge the water a few times to maintain the warmth, it will take around 30-40 minutes.

Do NOT exceed 70°C (160°F)
Higher temps will soften the container. Once the resin is clear, let it cool down to room temperature before mixing with Hardener.

Works perfectly

Been using the resin for a while now and never had an issue. Easy to work with which is what I like most

Good stuff!

This is some good quality resin, gets to a gel cure really fast, and I know it says full cure 6-8 hrs but I think at least 8 would be better. Just for a full hard cure. Resin is very clear when mixed properly and mixes well with pigments. Couldn't be happier! Shipping was also fast, although I'm only 3 hrs away.

So far so good

Bought this to try in some art projects. Stable so long as you’re not mixing too much at a time. Cures fairly well given the right temperature and humidity. Still testing but so far so good.

Used for filling silhouette carvings in charcuterie boards.

I bought this resin to use with filling in carvings. I only needed a little bit for the project so I bought their smallest container to try out. I mixed a little according to their instructions. I mixed it with black metallic pigment (caviar) There was no smell, I filled a plastic syringe and used that to fill the carved out voids. It worked great! The resin cured very hard and made it easy to sand. It didn't gum up my sandpaper so thats good too.
Overall I'm very happy and will continue to use this product.
