Transform Shaper Origin into a versatile, hands-free CNC system with BenchPilot, Workstation, and the Shelf Upgrade Kit. Together, these components provide automated cutting, precise workholding, and an expanded work surface for everything from joinery and profiles to inlays, engraving, and batch production.
Shaper Workstation provides the foundation, offering fast, accurate, and repeatable positioning and clamping for workpieces placed vertically, horizontally, or at an angle. Its reusable ShaperTape field, T-track clamping face, indexing pins, adjustable shelf, and 0–45° angled fence make setup and alignment quick and precise.
BenchPilot integrates directly with Workstation to turn Origin into an automated, hands-free milling machine. Simply clip Origin into BenchPilot and it drives the tool along the cutting path while Origin handles the fine precision movements. Variable feed-rate control lets you adjust cutting speed in real time, while Origin displays progress and estimated time remaining. When automated cutting isn't needed, simply unclip Origin and return to handheld operation.
The Shelf Upgrade Kit expands Workstation's horizontal cutting area with a 410 x 280 mm (16.125 x 11") shelf — more than three times larger than the standard Workstation shelf. Coarse and fine adjustments allow precise alignment with Workstation, while the adjustable support leg keeps the surface flat and stable under load.
Combined, Workstation, BenchPilot, and the Shelf Upgrade Kit create a flexible gantry-style setup for horizontal and vertical milling, making it ideal for repetitive or time-consuming operations without complicated CNC programming or G-code.
