M8 Insert 14mm Diameter x 18mm Long x 8M Internal Thread

These steel zinc plated inserts are machined. With three starting threads they sit straight in the hole (like a three legged stool) and therefore easily insert squarely. Comparatively, most other insert brands are cast resulting in a more brittle insert and one thread that is very difficult to install squarely.
Use a 1/2" diameter drill for the pilot hole and an 8mm Allen key for insertion.

Tip: In our shop, for securing metal table legs to the table top, we found the M8 inserts have a much better grip retention than the M6 inserts.

I used 4 of these on a guitar neck to replace the standard wood screws my guitar was built with to hold the neck to the body. Not only were these incredibly easy to install, they make neck and body much tighter to eachother and as a whole the guitar gained a ton of resonance and even tone! 100% will be buying more and doing this to all my bolt on guitars.
